Marejada Hostel COLUNGA

The Marejada Hostel, located on PLAYA DE LA ISLA (Colunga, Asturias), is the perfect place to spend a few days relaxing, enjoying the sea and the mountains of Asturias, our sports activities and -of course- our facilities at foot of beach If you are a pilgrim looking for rest by the sea, a family on vacation, or an athlete who loves surfing or the mountains... this is your hostel!
La Isla beach is 1,600 meters long, quiet and familiar, characterized by the rock that can be accessed by walking at low tide and which becomes an island at high tide, hence the name of the beach and the town itself. .

THE SHELTER
Built in the 70's and completely renovated between 2019 and 2020. Covered terrace, bar on the beach, garden area, soccer and basketball field, surf and yoga activities, mountain routes and many other activities. The perfect alternative to enjoy Asturias (half an hour from towns such as Gijón or Llanes), sleep listening to the lullaby of the sea, do activities in the middle of nature, practice beach sports or -simply- take some time to relax and rest.

BEDROOMS
Total capacity of the hostel: 42 places (all of them in single beds, set up in bunk beds for 2 pax).
Low level
Room 1. It does not have a bathroom inside (it is outside the room and has 4 showers, 5 bathrooms and 5 sinks).
First floor
Room 2. Equipped with full service inside.
Rooms 3 and 4. Joined by a sliding door that, depending on use, can be kept closed or open. Services inside with 3 showers, 3 bathrooms and 3 sinks.
Room 5. Equipped with full service inside.
Bookings
It is not reserved for rooms. It is a hostel and the reservation is for a bed in a shared room with other beds and other guests and/or pilgrims.

CAMINO DE SANTIAGO
If you are a pilgrim doing the Camino de Santiago... you should know that we have great discounts for you (there is a special rate for pilgrims) and you will be very welcome at our hostel...

RESTAURANT
Home-cooked dishes (there are menus and a la carte) with international flavors and typical cuisine. We can do vegan, vegetarian or special cuisine (for food allergens and intolerances).

PUB
An authentic beach bar that delights everyone. The panera (typical Asturian construction) stands out, integrated into the terrace of the bar.

TERRACE AND GARDEN
The covered terrace and the garden are an unbeatable solution for quiet mornings and afternoons, where you can relax and enjoy the day. A garden on the beach invites you to relax with exceptional views, with the beach and the sea being the true protagonists. Live music concerts are given in the gardens (in the summer months) and there is also a craft market.

SERVICES
Wifi
Free for customers. There is a good signal both in common areas and in the rooms.
Free parking
You can park in our facilities (except 2 weekends a year, when we hold a market and it is occupied by the stalls). You can also leave the car outside (except on beach days).
Library
A small library at your disposal, for lovers of reading.
Sports school
We have our own sports schools, specialized in surfing, paddle surfing, yoga and stand-up paddleboarding yoga.
Electric bike rental
For a ride and with a wide wheel (special for sand).
Bicycle parking
You can leave your bicycle safely and indoors during your stay.
Pets
Pets are welcome (as long as they meet our requirements).
Laundry
Our staff will take care of doing the laundry in case you need it (for very little money).

Hello, we are Ricardo and Azucena and, since 2019, we have operated this old hostel to which we gave a radical change in approach. Trying to make Marejada Hostel an original place where you can eat, have a drink, listen to good live music and enjoy the best views of La Isla beach.
